2. Payments
All goods remain the property of Built-
2a. Deposit
If extenuating circumstances present themselves and you have to cancel the work we will gladly refund any of your deposit which has not been spent on materials or allocated for labour subject to a 20% fee. Built-
3. Delivery
We may at the time of order provide you with an indicative lead time. However since each order is made to the customers specification and we may have to order materials for that specific order we cannot guarantee delivery lead times. Accordingly any delivery lead time quoted will be indicative only and time will not be of the essence for this contract. In particular the default 30 days for contract performance under the United Kingdoms Distance Selling Regulations shall not apply. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through delay in delivery. 4: Goods
All furniture supplied by Built-
If several furniture items have been ordered, a balancing payment will be required on completion of each furniture item, all items are treated as separate orders.
5. Tolerances
As our furniture is handmade and manually installed, we ordinarily work to less than 5% tolerance to all final supplied measurements and final install dimensions and positions. Small defects or scuffs in the final product – if the defect is not visible under ordinary conditions from a distance of 2 metres away, these are deemed a natural part of the furniture and we are under no obligation to remedy. We will be happy to re-evaluate any issue upon receipt of a report from an independent assessor.
6: Liability
We will not be liable to you for any loss of profits, administrative inconvenience, disappointment, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem in relation to the goods. We shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. Filling of holes or channels made by moving electrical cables or making good after other trades have completed is not the responsibility of Built-
7: Fitting of your furniture
Cancellation of Scheduled fitting: We require 2 working days notice of cancellation of a scheduled fitting date. If your cancellation falls within 2 working days of fitting it will be subject to a £350.00 +VAT re-
Space to work : We require sufficient space to work within with access to the area, Fragile items such as picture frames and lamp shades must be removed prior to our arrival. If sufficient space has not been made available for fitting or there is limited access, any requirement to move items to make sufficient space to work within will be charged at £70.00 +VAT in per hour segments, We will not be liable for any damages that may occur in the process of moving items.
Unable to fit your furniture : If we are unable to fit your furniture for any reason due to error by client or the client has not provided adequate space to assemble furniture in (including limited access)will be subject to a £350.00 +VAT re-
8: Remedial Work
On the rare occasion that we may have conduct remedial work, this will be conducted within standard business hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
